Unable to see custom ckeditor buttons when editing pages in a subsite

Description

This was discovered using preside through command box.

to recreate:
1) create a sub site in preside - same domain, different directory as the main site
2) Edit the homepage for that new site
3) the ckeditor doesn't display the widget/asset custom buttons

Viewing the page html, It appears to be trying to include this file:

Instead of this one:

commandbox 3.5, windows 10, preside 10.7.27 and earlier versions

The same thing also appears to be for assets, the uri's all reference the site folder e.g.

To test this, i have created a new basic site via command box. Added a site in the admin, and then tried to edit the homepage of the new site. In the main content editor, you can't see any of the custom buttons e.g. widget picker.

Viewing the source, the config file is pointing to the correct place though e.g.

We are having the same issue in commandbox and also nginx on ubuntu

Awesome, is there any chance it could be applied to 10.6.x as well?
