The issue happens because the css property .tabs-left .tab-content overflow: hidden applies to both the tab-content in multi sites situation.
Issue is caused by nested tabbed-content, where the first tabbed-content is have the nav-tabs on the left as seen on the screenshot below:

I suggest changing how the .tab-content is targeted when .nav-tabs are on the left/right. I suggest using > to target the direct-child of the .tabbable container. Please see the code below:
